James "Jim" Shrewsbury

James Melvin Shrewsbury, known to his loved ones as Jim, passed away on September 18,2023, in Baltimore, Maryland. He was 49 years old.

Jim was born on November 20, 1973, in Baltimore, MD, where he spent his entire life. He had a deep love for the Chesapeake Bay and enjoyed fishing, crabbing, boating and being the life of any party. Jim cherished spending time with his family and friends, and they often vacationed together in OBX, Deep Creek Lake and Ocean City, Maryland.

Jim is survived by his father, James Shrewsbury, and stepmother Robin Shrewsbury. He is also survived by his mother, Debra Crissey-Smith, and stepfather, Lance Smith. Jim leaves behind his brother, Matt Davidson and sisters Brooke Brown, Jessica Levine, Becky White and Sara Shrewsbury. He had a loving partner, Rebecca Howard as well as nephews, Mason, Alex, Cameron, Hunter, Callen and Maddox, and nieces Levi and Zoey.

Jim attended Dundalk High School and later pursued a career at Verizon. He dedicated himself to his work and made valuable contributions to the company for 26 years.

Family and friends are invited to attend the services honoring Jim's life, which will be held at Connelly Funeral Home in Dundalk, Maryland, on Friday, September 22, 2023. Visitation hours will be from 3-5 PM and 7-9 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that contributions be made to the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, an organization that was close to Jim's heart.
